DMJ Capital was built as a place to own things — not as a brand campaign, and not as a second securities desk with a different logo.
Why we are not Securities
DMJ Securities is an independent public-markets desk: listed equities, tax-aware books, execution, a human on the wire. That work is real. It is also a different job. Mixing it with private ownership is how incentives get muddy.
Capital holds the private ledger. We take title. We sit on boards and in kitchens. We model insurance and water before we model a pitch deck. If you want a ticker, the sister desk is the right door. If you want a partner who will still be here in year eight, this is the door.
Both houses share a Ventura address family and a preference for fewer, better conversations. Neither is a supermarket of funds.
